OTC Students

Old Town Church partners with parents to point students to the gospel and encourage them to walk faithfully with Jesus.

OTC Students Values

  • We walk through God’s Word in a fun, interactive, and encouraging way so that students see and understand the good news of Jesus Christ. We use gospel-centered curriculum to teach students that the Bible is God’s true, holy, and trustworthy word. We want our students to go beyond just knowing stories and facts to allow the gospel to transform them from the inside out.

  • Students crave community and the gospel provides that community. We believe that the primary way believers are discipled is in the context of relationships. This is no different for our students. We nurture community by providing contexts for them to be intentional in their relationships with each other and with leaders.

  • The body of Christ is made up of members who have different functions and our students have a unique role in evangelizing to the world. We encourage them to know the story of Scripture and the role they have to play in it. One of the ways believers follow Christ is by making disciples of others. This pattern of disciple-making disciples is one that all believers are called to and one we want to nurture in our students.

What We Do

We recognize that parents are the primary disciple-makers of their children. Our goal is to come alongside parents to provide relationships in which students can be pointed to the gospel and encouraged to walk faithfully with Jesus.

We want to consistently make the gospel the focus. Our goal shouldn’t be to teach students Bible stories but to show them how the Bible points them to Jesus, who is their highest good and greatest joy. This will happen best in the context of relationships that form from small groups.

We want to point students to the gospel and invite them to be involved in the life of OTC. This means we want to commend being in corporate worship on Sundays and sitting under the preaching of the Word with the church.

Midweek - Wednesdays at 6:30 PM

Each week (except the first week of the month) students meet in small groups at the OTC building. Students and leaders walk through the Bible together in a discussion format and seek to understand how the Bible is relevant and applicable to their lives.

Safety and Health

Volunteers: We require all of our volunteers to submit a background check, submit an application, and attend training. They love Jesus and have a heart for students.

Health Standards: Students must be free from fever or symptoms of contagious disease for 24 hours. Let us know of any allergies or medical conditions your student may have.
