Our Team

Matthew and Meghan Cavin met at Clemson University while pursuing their undergraduate degrees.  It was love at first sight…for Matthew.  After both graduating and getting married, we settled down in to a life of ministry in various local churches, serving as student pastor, discipleship pastor, and executive pastor.  Along the way, Matthew received his M.A. in Religious Studies at Liberty University. 

Our most important additions haven’t been degrees or job titles, but our 4 children.  Grey (13), Tucker (11), Will (9), and Lucy (5) are our greatest joys – and sources of our most intense sanctification!  

We are passionate to see people experience the freedom and joy we have in Jesus Christ.  We genuinely just enjoy getting to walk through life with others and seeing people grow in their relationship with God, as we are growing in ours.  

If you would have told us 2 years ago that we would be planting a church, we would have laughed at you. But isn’t that how God works – calling us out to more than we are capable of, so that we must depend on Him!  We have been in ministry for over 15 years now, serving at various churches in South Carolina, and have been in doing ministry together near Rock Hill for the last 10 years. We are excited to follow God’s call to plant Old Town Church in the heart of downtown Rock Hill, SC.  

When we aren’t in the throws of church planting, you’ll find us drinking coffee with friends, water coloring, watching Clemson football, and just about anything else that gets us outside and enjoying nature.
